Gunnislake Community Matters are pleased to report lots of activity making the village look great for the summer and the Festival week coming up from 6 July for a week. Firstly, the car park planters were replanted with summer bedding and then new planters were put up at the village hall. Thanks to Sally-Ann Hopkins and team and to you if you’ve supported a GCM event as that’s who paid for them.
Secondly, the car park walks have been repainted. Two years ago GCM gave them their first overhaul in a long while and this year it wasn’t such an onerous task. A recent GCM litter pick and weeding around the centre of the village helped to make Gunnislake look good too.
And a big thank you to the local businesses and home owners who have colourful planters too.
The Festival scarecrow competition is adding lots of fun all around the village.
On top of all this, of course, we have the beautiful Tamar valley on our doorstep to enjoy every day. Makes you glad to live in Gunnislake.
