Saturday 7th March saw the 3rd annual St. Pirans Day festival in the Public Hall. It was a fantastic event supported with an excellent turnout to celebrate all things Cornish. In addition to a numbers of stalls selling local crafts and produce there was entertainment throughout the day from the GLAD (Gunnislake Amateur Dramatics) singers, in their inaugural outing away from theatrical performance and featuring a number of Cornish staple sing-a-longs, the return of local storyteller Kevin to entertain and engage the younger (and some of the older!) generation and an appearance by the local community church choir to round out the day.

In total in excess of £300 was raised for the hall from refreshments, a raffle (a huge Thank You to all local companies that donated prizes) and other donations. Roll on next year…!
