You will notice that our much-loved miner statue, William, is missing.
Poor William has been sat on his bench through sun, wind, rain and frost for years. He is now in need of, and deserves some R&R.
On the 13th December 2019 he was to be taken on a holiday to Wadebridge, so that his creator, sculptor Richard Austin, can refurbish him. The refurbishment has become quite urgent, as he is suffering from many cracks in his body, and another winter is likely to significantly worsen his condition.
